A well-written memoir of Bayla Gittel who finds herself a single mother of three children, divorced from her husband. This story is her journey into the personal experiences of the infidelity she endures. The vulnerable account of a woman's attempt to come to grips with the pain of a marriage that was falling apart, and the effects of ending the marriage.
Well-written and easy-flowing story of love, family, and heartache. The novel is full of compelling episodes and stories that will make you chuckle and, maybe shed a tear or two. I would like to thank Bayla Gittel for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. Rating:

An excellent Ayurvedic guide to managing and reversing type 2 diabetes. It helps you determine your Ayurvedic type and then develop a plan for food, exercise, etc. based on that. Starting with detox and then using meals according to your dosha to retrain your way of eating. The book is filled with excellent knowledge about each dosha.
There is very valuable exercise information in the book. It explains when to test blood sugar, what time of day to exercise, and the type of exercise instrumental in lowering blood sugar. Thank you to NetGalley and Humanix Books for this advanced review copy. Rating: 4/5 Maria Petrakis is a Greek Cypriot woman, living in London and running her own bakery situated in a significant Greek Community. The story is set in London and Cyprus and the Cyprus storylines going back to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
The novel is structured in a way that the story bounces between different decades in London and earlier decades in Cyprus, covering the separated stories of two women. In a way, this disrupted the storyline and at times caused confusion. The descriptions in this book are enveloping. They give the reader a rich view of the bakery and its surroundings. This is a beautiful story about the bonds of family, about surviving, and ultimately growing from our experiences. I would like to thank John Murray Press and Netgalley for an advance review copy of The Making of Mrs Petrakis in return for an honest review. Rating: The summary of this book caught my attention and I was eager to get started. However I found this book difficult to read due to the style in which it was written. Each chapter is narrated from the point of view of different characters and their stories are linked by the death of the Emirate women who's body is found floating in the Marina. I enjoyed how this book related about life in Dubai
