Minus Me is a delightful little book that had a good mix of humor, tragedy, and a timely reminder of how brief life maybe. Loved it from the start.
Annie owns a popular sandwich shop in Maine with her husband Sam. They are an inseparable couple who hide no secrets from each other. When Annie receives a devastating diagnosis that she may die of lung cancer, she goes about writing a manual to help Sam carry on life without her. The characters were engaging and easy to relate to. All the characters in the books are well described and easy to relate to. Enjoyed reading this novel, full of raw emotion and love. Katherine's heart is shattered to bits when she learns about the loss of her baby daughter Adriana at birth and later devasted to learn that she can't have any more kids. Her dreams to have a big family are lost forever. As she comes to terms with the new life and cares for her twin son, Jamie, while all the while nursing her broken heart she formulates a plan to solve her dilemma. But will her husband Davis support her decision? Summary: An amazing brilliant read. Get ready for an emotional roller coaster, wonderfully written, heartfelt novel. Rating: Captivating from the very beginning, full of secrets, twists, and turns that kept me eager to find out what was going to happen next.
Kassie the main character, is a very successful, marketing executive, who is trying to save a marriage that ended many years earlier. Mike her husband, and Kassie have been living as strangers in the same house. When she takes a solo trip to Italy, her life takes a turn with a chance encounter. The storyline is exceptional and easy to grasp. Tailor has an impressive talent to capture her audience. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and am looking forward to Tailor's next sequel. Summary: A wonderfully written novel, one that deserves attention. Rating: An amazing story of courage, bravery, and love. Enjoyed reading The Tobacconist's Wife right from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down, all the while hoping that Thea, in the story finds the happiness she deserves.
The main character, Thea is well described and easy to relate to. Thea marries Ernie Goodson after the death of her father. And from the onset regrets her decision. Ernie turns out to be an abuser and deals in illegal trade. Just when Thea thinks there is no hope for happiness in her life, her knight in shining amour appears. But the big question arises, can her knight save her and give her the happiness she deserves? Summary: A wonderfully written novel, a tale worth reading. I highly recommend picking up this book. Rating: Enjoyed this easy-read novel, it was quite an enchanting tail, dotted with lots of suspense and thrills.

The characters are well described, easy to relate to, and likable. The plot was easy to follow and kept my attention until the end. The plot is narrated from the alternating perspectives of Cara being the perfect mom, who wants the best for her daughter, and Rebecca, who though doesn’t want children but tries her best around Sophie. Thank you, Emma Robinson, for a wonderfully written story that didn't fail to tug at my heart. Summary: A wonderfully written book dealing with some difficult and sensitive issues. This book has been written so well that it simply draws you in right till the end. Rating: This book totally captivated my attention right from the start, the twists and turns in the story was exciting and kept me guessing. The main characters both had their own personal challenges to deal with and the author takes the readers through their struggles with such grace and hope. We relate well with the main characters as we watch them struggle with their challenges and eventually realize the strength they possess to rise above their own personal situations.
I strongly recommend picking up this book, it catches your heart as you instantly connect with the characters. A story about second chances, broken lives that need love and lots of mending, and most importantly how powerful hope can be, especially in the midst of brokenness and hurt. Even as a mum I enjoyed reading this book to my kids. The scripture verses shared in this book are appropriate and well explained so that even kids can understand their meaning. Children are sent to the country to avoid being casualties in the German blitz bombings in London. Ruby is sent to stay with Mrs. Honey where she befriends siblings Joan and Stevie. A strong bond of friendship is formed and soon blossoms into love between Stevie and Ruby, however the war experiences in Stevie's life change their relationship. This novel caused me to be a bundle of emotions, but I enjoyed every minute of reading it. An excellent read that was so captivating throughout the entire novel.
